• 99+% Purity.  Medical grade, or pharmaceutical grade products, must contain ingredients that are 99+% pure, or they can’t claim the title “medical grade.” This is because these products are not only used for cosmetic health, they can be used for medical/healing purposes too. OTC products aren’t held to the same standards.
• Clinically Researched. Medical/pharmaceutical grade skincare products have been clinically researched for their efficacy. OTC products don’t have to have clinical studies to back their claims for usage benefits. Medical grade skin care products also have FDA oversight, which only involves 2 categories of skincare products:  cosmetic, and pharmaceutical/medical grade.
